Founder Lawyer

Kirandeep Kaur Brar

Kirandeep Brar

Kiran’s practice focuses on Family Law, Child Protection matters, Real Estate Law, and Estate Planning.

 

Before commencing her practice in British Columbia, Kiran practiced in India for many years. Her primary practice area has been Family Law. Kiran is also an accredited Family Law Mediator. She highly advocates a collaborative settlement approach for the resolution of family law cases but also understands that some family law matters cannot be resolved without litigating in the court systems.

 

Kiran has successfully represented her clients in the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. She has successfully handled complex cases regarding property division, parenting issues, and support issues. Kiran also prepares Cohabitation Agreements, Pre-nuptial Agreements, Marriage Agreements, and Separation Agreements, according to the needs of her clients.

 

Apart from Family Law, Kiran practices Residential Conveyancing and Estate Planning as well. She also prepares Wills, Power of Attorneys, and Representation Agreements.

 

Kiran is multilingual and is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and English.

 

When not in the office, Kiran likes to spend most of her time with her husband and three children.

Tanu Kaur Ranu is a seasoned attorney with three years of experience practicing law in the prestigious Delhi High Court, specializing in Criminal matters, Wills & Estate, Property Disputes, Family Law, Arbitration, and Mediation.

Additionally, she served as an E-discovery attorney at Thomson Reuters for almost three years, focusing on client privacy and developing strategies for defending or prosecuting lawsuits and other litigation for multinational corporations. Her role involved submissions for courts and the Department of Justice (DOJ), necessitating meticulous attention to detail and strategic planning.

 

Now, as a family law associate with our firm, Tanu brings her extensive legal expertise and dedication to client advocacy to our team. Her diverse background equips her to navigate complex legal issues effectively, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. With Tanu's multifaceted experience and unwavering commitment to excellence, she is an invaluable asset as we continue to provide top-tier legal services to our clients.

With a deep understanding of the emotional and legal complexities surrounding divorce, parenting arrangements, and support claims, she provides compassionate,yet strategic advocacy tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

Gurleen earned her Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from GNDU, India. She began her career as a corporate lawyer, advising businesses on regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and corporate structuring. After completing her NCA accreditation in Canada, she transitioned to family law, where she found her true calling in helping families navigate sensitive legal issues with clarity and care.

Beyond her legal work, Gurleen is passionate about community engagement. She has volunteered in schools, educating young people on human rights, legal awareness, and cybercrime, empowering them to understand and protect their rights.

Chris Devine

Chris Devine

Chris attended Newcastle Law School in the United Kingdom.  As an undergraduate, he studied at Langara College in Vancouver with a focus on criminal justice. Since graduating, he has continued studies in International Law.

Chris developed significant experience while mooting at Newcastle. In first year, his team won the junior mooting competition which was an internal competition for first year students. By second year, Chris was competing nationally. By third year, Chris was a mooting co-ordinator who ran the internal and external mooting competitions. In addition, he continued mooting nationally. He participated in the Inner Temple Inter-Varsity Moot competition where his team successfully mooted through a number of rounds before ultimately finishing second place to University College London in the final.

Outside of the law, Chris has many areas of interest which include:

-Improvised theatre (Canadian Improv Games National Champion and two-time finalist)
-Sleight of hand magic (no accolades), and
-Baseball (coaching and playing). Most recently, his team won the 2022 Men’s AA Provincial, and placed second in 2023, narrowly missing becoming the first team to repeat as champions.

Kalyani Chandola enjoys creating order out of chaos. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Symbiosis School of Economics, India, Kalyani decided to pursue law at Pune University, India to serve the community.

 

Kalyani brings extensive experience in legal and administrative operations with her proven track record of excellence across corporate advisory, contract management, and compliance. She has been involved in implementing policies for the prevention of sexual harassment at workplace and has served as a committee member to resolve such complaints and issues for global organizations for several years. She has a keen interest in Family Law, Civil Law, and Immigration Law. Currently, she is a NCA Candidate working with the firm as a Legal Administrative Assistant to gain practical exposure.   Kalyani is meticulous at what she does and goes above and beyond for her clients.  Recognized with multiple awards for her strategic contributions, Kalyani is passionate about fostering collaboration, delivering client satisfaction, and driving administrative efficiency. 

 

Outside her professional commitments,

  • Kalyani actively volunteers in animal rescue and rehabilitation initiatives showcasing he dedication to community 

  • In the summer you can find her hiking, kayaking, or cycling through Vancouver. 

  • She is an avid reader and a great cook. 

  • She loves to meet new people and enjoys having conversations to talk about anything and everything!

Isha is a dedicated legal professional currently pursuing her bar license from the Law Society of British Columbia (LSBC).

 

With a Master of Laws from India and a background in both Indian and Canadian legal systems, she brings a broad, international perspective to her work. Isha has completed her articles, specializing in family law, where she has handled cases involving child support, parenting arrangements, and adoption. She has also collaborated with Aboriginal communities, fostering culturally sensitive resolutions in family law matters.

 

Isha’s legal journey began in India, where she developed strong skills in legal drafting and case management.

 

Beyond her legal work, she enjoys yoga, walks, and quality time with her family and friends. Her interests also include politics and Punjabi music; she brings warmth and enthusiasm to every social gathering.
 
She is fluent in Hindi, English and Punjabi.

Sandeep Kumar is a seasoned legal professional with over 14 years of litigation experience at the Punjab & Haryana High Court, India, specializing in real estate and family law. He has successfully handled mediation, divorce proceedings, child and spousal maintenance cases, and complex family law litigation. His expertise is further strengthened through his role as litigation counsel for major real estate companies, including Ansal Properties, DLF, and Lotus Melange Projects, focusing on corporate litigation, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance.

 

Sandeep holds an LLB from Punjabi University, Patiala, and a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration from Adler University, Vancouver. His volunteer work with Access Pro Bono has deepened his practical experience in family law. As a paralegal, Sandeep excels in legal research, documentation, and client relations, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a commitment to professional excellence.

 

Outside of work, he enjoys cricket, movies, and writing political blogs.
